Cases can be archived and unarchived at any time. Archiving a case will remove the case from the recent case list on the Firm Dashboard and it removes the case from the case search. However, it does not delete the case and you can still access the case from an archived list at any time.

Archiving a Case:

On the home dashboard, click 'View All' on your recent case list.

Select a case by clicking on the checkbox next to the case. To archive the case, click Archive in the menu bar

Viewing Archived Cases:
From the 'View All' case list, you can opt to Include Archived cases in your search.

If you click the “Filter” box in the menu bar, a drop down menu appears giving you the option to filter cases by Status, Attorney, District, and Chapter. At the bottom of the drop down menu, you can click the checkbox labeled "Include Archived" to give you the entire list, even those cases which have been archived.

Once you've included your archived cases in your case list, you have the option to un-archive any of those cases by clicking on the checkbox next to the case and choosing “un-archive”  in the menu bar. This will bring the case back to the "Recent Cases" box on the home dashboard.

*Please note that users do not currently have the ability to permanently delete a case. To avoid any cases being mistakenly deleted, NextChapter asks that you message our support team if you need to delete a case!
