Exemption RCW 6.13.030 was recently updated allowing an individual exemption limited based on each county in the state of Washington. Below is a chart reflecting each median home price for the year 2020.
In NextChapter it will show a "Limit" of $125,000, but the "Limit Per Item" is set to unlimited so that you can enter your county's full exemption amount. Even though NextChapter is reflecting a negative balance, that information is only shown in NextChapter for informational purposes. It is not reflected on any statements or schedules. This allows all of WA to exempt the correct amount per county without being limited to the exemption amount of $125,000 reflected in the Exemption Statute 6.13.030.
