How to enter property exemptions to appear on Schedule C

If you would like to mark an exemption as "Unknown" or "100%" please see: Overriding Exemptions

PLEASE NOTE: If you are filing a joint case, NextChapter only shows the individual exemption amount. If you need to double the amount, you may receive a warning from the application that you have exceeded the exemption allowance but you can still proceed with the doubled amount. Exemption Amounts

Line 2 from Schedule C: Identify any property you list on Schedule A/B that you claim as exempt

Where to enter this in NextChapter: Real Property AND/OR Personal Property > +New Asset > +Add Exemption

Exemptions can be added each time you add a new item within the Personal Property section.  You may receive an alert that the exemption limit is exceeded but this will not prevent you from continuing with the information that you entered.  It is simply used as a warning that you may disregard if necessary.
