If your firm would like to prevent access to cases for paralegals/attorneys that are not working on those cases, we now have the option to "wall off" cases. Firms can assign attorneys and paralegals to cases and those users will only see the cases they are assigned to.

Under My Account Settings > My Firm you will see a toggle to turn on the Wall Off option. If you hover over the orange question mark, you will see an info bubble that describes the feature:

Once the Wall Off option is turned on, the first attorney signed up on the account will become the Admin User for the firm. The Admin user will then have the option to make any other user an Admin User as well by turning on/off the toggles in My Account Settings > User Accounts and Invites.

Once the Wall Off function is turned on, you will have the option to assign the attorney and paralegals or assistants to a case in the Case Dashboard under the Case Assignment tab:

****Note: Only admin users will see this option and non-admin users cannot change the attorney assignment in the Filing Information section once assigned. Only the admin user(s) can.

Once cases are assigned, users assigned to cases will only be able to see their cases when logged into NextChapter. Also, only admin users can create new cases and reassign those cases.
