How do I purchase a Virtual Paralegal?

First you will want to go to Account > My Account Settings > Paralegal as a Service.

To purchase a Virtual Paralegal you must first purchase a package. By using the plus and minus signs you can select any amount of time you would like to start out with. Remember: The time that is purchased does not have to all be used at once. When you go to purchase a VP you will have the option to select the exact amount of time you are wanting the paralegal to work. Which will then be subtracted from your total purchased amount.

Once you are ready to purchase a VP you will want to make sure you open the case that you are wanting the paralegal to work. By going to the "Home" tab at the top of the page it will redirect you to your cases.

You will then want to open the case and from the case dashboard you will want to select "Assign a Virtual Paralegal".

This is where you will be able to list exactly how much time you would like dedicated to this case. The "Case Instructions" is where you can give information on exactly what you are needing to be done for the case. Side Note: If the paralegal is needing more time, all you have to do is come back to this and add more time to the case. If you notice that you are running out of time or that you are already out of time you can also select to "Purchase More Hours".

What should I expect after purchasing a paralegal?

The first time the paralegal works with an attorney new to our service, he or she will reach out and introduce themselves. They will also document any of the attorney's preferences on how they like to be contacted, how often, and any other details that will help them best serve the attorney's needs. That information will then be stored so that when a new paralegal gets assigned a case they can easily see how the attorney prefers to work.

Here is a copy of our Service Agreement. Please feel free to take a look and hopefully, it will help answer any additional questions that you might have.
