What should I expect after purchasing a paralegal for a bankruptcy case?

The first time the paralegal works with an attorney new to our service, he or she will reach out and introduce themselves. They will also document any of the attorney's preferences on how they like to be contacted, how often, and any other details that will help them best serve the attorney's needs. That information will then be stored so that when a new paralegal gets assigned a case they can easily see how the attorney prefers to work

What does the VP do?

When you purchase a VP case for the flat fee, the paralegal working the case can do everything from gathering the client documents to entering and efiling. Depending on how you would like the documents gathered, most attorneys will choose to use MyChapter which is a client portal and form of intake offered through our software. MyChapter can be unlocked with each case purchased for VP even if the attorney does not pay for the feature.

When it comes time to review and file, the case must be reviewed by the attorney. Once given the okay to efile, the paralegal can then file the case for you, or if you prefer you can file the case yourself. They even help with submitting the documents to the Trustee through BlueStylus, email, or however the Trustee requires they be submitted.

Any additional paralegal work such as amendments, drafting of motions, reaffirmation agreements, etc. are charged on an hourly rate of $50.00 per hour.

Will the paralegal communicate with my clients?

Absolutely. The paralegal will always act under the supervision of the attorney. So for example, if the attorney wants the paralegal to contact their client for intake, the paralegal would email or call and introduce themselves as the paralegal working for the attorney.

Can I always have the same paralegal on my service?

Yes! We always try to keep the paralegal with the same attorneys so that they can build working relationships. If there is ever a time where the attorney's workload gets higher, we will then reach out and verify that it is okay to assign a new paralegal to cases.

What if I'm unhappy with the paralegal?

If at any time you're unhappy with the service from the paralegal assigned to you, we will be more than happy to reassign a new paralegal to your service. We also regularly send surveys to make sure the attorney is satisfied with the service and the paralegal is meeting their needs.

Here is a copy of our Service Agreement. Please feel free to take a look and hopefully, it will help answer any additional questions that you might have.
