Community Code of Conduct:

NextChapter is dedicated to creating an environment in which diverse individuals can collaborate and interact in a positive and affirming way, by providing an open and harassment-free experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.

Anyone who violates this code of conduct will be expelled from this space at the discretion of the community moderators.

If you need to report harassment during one NextChapter's online events, please know that we take this very seriously. You can contact us reporting@nextchapterbk.com.

A Welcoming and Safe Environment
Here are some examples of behavior that contributes to creating a welcoming and safe environment. We encourage you to practice these examples online and in-person:

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language

  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences

  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism

  • Focusing on what is best for the overall community

  • Showing empathy towards other community members

This Community will not Tolerate Harassment
Examples of harassment include:

  • Any offensive comments related to gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, physical appearance, political affiliation, age, race, nationality, immigration status, language, religion or lack thereof, or other identity marker

  • Unwelcome comments regarding a person's lifestyle choices and practices

  • Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior in spaces where they're not appropriate

  • Threats of violence and incitement of violence towards any individual or group

  • Deliberate intimidation

  • Sustained disruption of discussion

  • Continued one-on-one communication after requests to cease

  • Publication of non-harassing private communication
