If you file in a district that requires you to file Means Test forms, Attorney Disclosure, Statement of Intention, etc. separately from the petition packet, you can set up a template to save you time on the Review & File page.
A Template Filing can be saved from Account > My Account Settings > Firm Filing Templates and it can also be saved when you are in Review & File > Assemble PDF Packet(s).
When you select to create a New Firm Filing Template, the page will be set up exactly as Review & File is. The left column will house your available forms & documents, the middle column will indicate what is going to be merged and filed as the petition and the right column include any event codes.
*Please note: You can only set up a template with NextChapter generated standard forms and documents. That said, you cannot set up a template to include "Credit Counseling Certificate" every time. That will still need to be manually added as an event code.
β
First, complete the Title, Type of Case, Chapter and District. You may set up as many of these as you need to. NOTE: Separate templates will need to be saved for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases as they do not include the same forms. The same goes if you file in multiple districts.
Create your template by setting up the Petition PDF Packet and Additional PDF Packets columns.
β
For the template above, I am saving a Chapter 13 template for a personal case in Colorado. When I select this template on the Review & File tab in a case, the petition will be merged with the exception of the Attorney Fee Disclosure, 122C-1 and 122C-2. They will be assigned their correct event codes.
When you are ready to file your case, you can select your template from the dropdown in the Petition PDF Packet column. Only templates that you have saved for your filing district will be visible.
Once you have selected the template, the standard forms & schedules will be ready to file. If you need to set up additional event codes, do so on this page as well.
