If you commonly use the same settings for every petition, you can save time by setting up Petition Defaults in your account settings.

Where to find this in NextChapter: Account > My Account Settings > Petition Defaults

Default Claims Settings
If you regularly check the boxes for Disputed, Unliquidated and Contingent on claims, you can check the box in Settings and those will always be selected when you add and/or edit claims.

Example: I have Default Claims Settings to automatically select the "Unliquidated" box when I add a new claim

When I go into my case and add a new claim, that box is already checked for me.

Default Exemption Election

You can also choose your common exemption selection. If you regularly use Federal or State exemptions, you can make that selection in your Account Settings. Then, that selection will be chosen on all new cases. You may always change the option on a per case level as well.

Example: I have Default Exemption Election set to Federal. When I create a new case, I will see that option automatically selected in Client Profile > Filing Information
