Your Billing Dashboard gives you a complete, searchable record of every payment made on your NextChapter account so you always know what's been charged, when, and for which case type. Here's how to find it and get the most out of it.
Where to find it
Go to My Account Settings > Billing & Pricing Plans. At the top of the page, you'll see your account summary, and below it, your Payment History.
Account summary
At the top of the page, you'll see a quick snapshot of your account:
Customer – Your firm's name as it appears on your account
Email – The email address associated with billing
Current Plan – Your active NextChapter plan (click the plan name for more details or to make changes)
Payment History
Below your account summary, the Payment History table lists every payment tied to your account, including:
Amount – The amount charged
Status – Whether the payment was Successful, Failed, or Pending
Description – The plan or case type the payment was for (for example, Chapter 13 Plan)
Date – The date and time the payment was processed
A running total appears at the bottom of the table, and a counter in the top right ("Showing X of Y payments") tells you how many results match your current filters.
Filtering your payment history
You can narrow the list using the filters above the table:
Plan type – Filter by a specific plan (for example, Chapter 13 Plan)
Status – Filter by payment status (All Statuses, Successful, Failed, or Pending)
Date range – Use the two calendar fields to set a start and end date
Once you've set your filters, click Go to update the table.
Downloading your payment history
Need a copy for your records or accounting software? Click Download in the top right of the Payment History section to export the results currently shown (based on your active filters) to a file.
Who can view the Billing Dashboard
The Billing Dashboard is only visible to users with Admin access on your account.
If your profile is set to Admin User (under My Account Settings > User Accounts & Invites), you'll see Billing History in your account settings and in the account dropdown menu at the top of the page.
If your profile is not an Admin User, Billing History will not appear in your settings or in the dropdown menu.
If you believe you should have access to billing information and don't see this option, check with your firm's account administrator to confirm your user role, or have them update your permissions under User Accounts & Invites.
Tip: If you don't see a payment you're expecting, double-check your date range and status filters any payments outside the selected range or status won't appear in the table.
