Logging into NextChapter using 2FA

Starting May 13th 2026, 2FA is required upon login for all NextChapter accounts. Please note that this is mandated by our parent company, Clio, and separate from the MFA bypass update.

How it works:

  1. Enter Your NextChapter login credentials like normal: A unique verification code will then be automatically sent to the email associated with your NextChapter account upon login. (No set-up needed!)

2. Copy the code provided in the email to enter on the following Code Verification page.

3. Follow the Link: Clicking the link opens a new tab where you'll enter your code and then be logged in on that same page.

  • Note: If you plan to use NextChapter on a computer, open the verification link on your desktop. Opening the link on your phone will log you into NextChapter on your mobile device.

4. Paste your copied code in the "Enter verification code" field and click "Submit" to be logged into NextChapter on the same page.

Prefer to use an authenticator app? You can switch from email to an authenticator app anytime in your Account Settings > My User Profile.

Don't See the Email in your Inbox?

If you entered your NextChapter credentials on the login page but don't see an "NextChapter: Login Code" email in your inbox, please use the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Search your inbox for an email from NextChapter with the subject line "NextChapter: Login Code". Look in your Spam, Junk, and Promotions folders as well.

  2. Refresh your inbox and wait a moment for it to arrive

  3. Double-check that you're checking the inbox of the email address associated with your NextChapter account

  4. Review your email domain settings to ensure your email provider isn't blocking emails from NextChapter and add welcome@nextchapterbk.com to your contacts

  5. Contact NextChapter Support via in-app chat or support@nextchapterbk.com if you still haven't received a code

Thank you for helping us keep your account secure.
