Form Preview Helper - Comments

This article explains how to access the Comments sidebar, add a new comment, and view existing comment history.

The Comments sidebar in the Form Preview lets you add notes and view comment history directly while reviewing a form - without leaving the Preview window.

Opening the Comments Sidebar

The Comments sidebar is accessible from within the Form Preview of any case.

1. Open a case and navigate to the Form Preview.

2. In the top-right corner of the Preview window, locate the toolbar icons.

3. Click the Comments icon.

Adding a New Comment

Once the Comments sidebar is open, you can add a comment directly from the Preview.

1. In the sidebar, locate the New Comment section at the top.

2. Click inside the text box (labeled Write Comment…) and type your comment.

3. Click + Add Comment to save. Your comment will appear in the Comments History below.

Viewing Comment History

The Comments History section displays all comments associated with the case, so you can review previous notes at a glance.

  • Comments are listed in reverse chronological order — the most recent comment appears at the top.

  • Each comment displays the author’s name and timestamp.

  • Comment boxes automatically expand to fit longer comments.

  • All comments are shown in the sidebar. If the case has many comments, scroll down within the sidebar to view older entries.

Editing or Deleting Comments

Comments cannot be edited or deleted from within the Form Preview sidebar. To edit or delete a comment, go to the Case Dashboard.

A link at the bottom of the New Comment section reads “Comments History can be edited and deleted in the Case Dashboard.” Clicking that link will open the case’s Case Dashboard in a new tab, with the Comments section already expanded.

⚠️ Note: Any changes made to comments in the Case Dashboard will be reflected the next time you open the Comments sidebar in Form Preview.
