Chapter 13: District of Columbia Plan Tags

All of our Chapter 13 Plans have merge tags that pull information from your case directly into your plan. Each tag has a set of instructions, which describe the logic within the app, so that you can easily understand how this tag is populated. Below is a list of your plan specific tags with their corresponding instructions.

(Hint: These instructions are for the District of Columbia Plan. If you have a district specific plan, you can search the Help Center for the article related to your plan.)

  • Line 3.3 [DCB.DSO]

    • List any DSO claims below. If the claim was edited in the Calculator so that the priority balance is less than the balance in the Priority Claims section, list the claim in the second section and check the box next to “Domestic support payments…”. If the balance was overridden in the calculator, list the claim in the first section and check the box next to “Allowed domestic …”.

  • Line 3.4 [DCB.Priority]

    • List any priority claim that is not a domestic support obligation claim.

  • Line 4.2 [DCB.4.2.1]

    • List any secured mortgage claims below. If there are any claims where the treatment is to pay the mortgage outside the plan, check the box for “The Debtor(s) will maintain by direct...” and add the claim in the table below that text. If there are any claims where the treatment is to pay the mortgage conduit, check the box for “The Debtor(s) will maintain by payments...” and add the claim in the table below that text. If no claims are added to EITHER section, check the box for None and omit the rest. If there are only claims added in one of the sections, show the other table with one blank row.

  • Line 4.3 [DCB.4.3]

    • List any secured claims not attached to Real property that has an arrearage claim below. If there are any claims where the treatment is to pay the arrearages outside the plan, check the box for “The Debtor(s) will maintain by direct...” and add the claim in the table below that text. If there are any claims where the treatment is to pay the arrearages, check the box for “The Debtor(s) will maintain by payments...” and add the claim in the table below that text. If no claims are added to EITHER section, check the box for None and omit the rest. If there are only claims added in one of the sections, show the other table with one blank row.

  • Line 4.4 [DCB.910]

    • List any secured mortgage claims where the treatment is to pay in full through the plan or any secured claim where the treatment is selected for “910”, check the box for “The following secured claims... ” and list the claim. If there are no claims added, check “None” and omit the table.

  • Line 4.5 [DCB.Surrender]

    • If there are any claims where the intent is to surrender, check the box for “The Debtor(s) will surrender” and list the claim. If there are no claims added, check “None” and omit the table.

  • Line 4.6 [DCB.Outside]

    • If there are any claims where the treatment is to pay outside the plan, check the box for “The Debtor(s) will pay directly” and list the claim. If there are no claims added, check “None” and omit the table.

  • Line 5.3 [DCB.Avoid]

    • If there are any secured claims where the intent is Avoid and the treatment is NOT “506”, check the box for “Claims List Below” and list the claim. If there are no claims added, check “None”.

  • Line 5.4 [DCB.506]

    • If there are any secured claims where the treatment is selected for “506”, check the box for “Claims List Below” and list the claim. If there are no claims added, check “None”.

  • Line 6.2 [DCB.Unsecured]

    • If there are any unsecured claims with special treatment, check the box for “The nonpriority unsecured allowed” and list the claim. If there are no claims added, check “None” and omit the table.

  • Line 7.1 [DCB.Lease]

    • If there are leases where the intent is to reject, check the box for “Executory contracts and unexpired leases to be rejected” and add the lease in the table below that checkbox. If there are any leases where the intent is to assume, check the box for “Executory contracts and unexpired leases to be assumed” and add the lease in the table below that checkbox. If there are no leases listed in either, check the box for “None” and omit the rest.
